Mineral Springs Elementary Counselor Amanda Coleman has partnered with Rolisha “Coco” Rhone of Cornerstone Counseling to start hosting parenting classes at the school.

“Our goal is to make as many people aware as possible. These are once a month meetings, usually the last Tuesday of the month (December will be the exception),” Coleman said. “We will provide refreshments and door prizes. There will be guest speakers and games. Our mission is to provide a safe place for parents, guardians, and other community members to gain an understanding and knowledge of various topics, gain insight, helpful resources, and ask questions as they arise.”

The “Parenting Positively” monthly meetings will be held each Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Mineral Springs School District Cafeteria.

This month’s meeting will be Nov. 30 with the topic “To Medicate or Not Medicate?”

Discussion will be about medication management, medication safety and playing a game.

For more information or to RSVP, contact Coleman at (870) 287-4747 ext. 347 or Rhone at (870) 455-0134.
