Obituary: Viola M. Harding, 85, of Center Point

Viola M. Harding, age 85, a lifelong resident of Center Point, Ark., passed away, Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, in Little Rock, Ark. She was born Dec. 3, 1934, in Center Point to the late Cecil Clement Parker and Plumer Molly Seymore Parker. She was a homemaker and retired from Case Knife.

She loved cooking, canning, and entering some of canning in the local fair. She also loved quilting. She was a member of the Red Hats and THEOS.

Viola was a faithful member of the Center Point Missionary Baptist Church and dearly loved her church family.

Preceding her in death were her husband, L.V. Harding; two brothers, Denzil Parker and Troy Parker; two sisters, Pauline Icenhower and Mildred Harding; and her grandson, Jonathan Blake Harding.

Surviving her are her two children, John Harding of Nashville, and Beverly and husband Bobby Conway of Center Point; four brothers, James Parker of Nashville, Bobby Parker of Dierks, Loy Parker of Tyler, Texas, Roger Parker of Murfreesboro, Ark.;  and a sister, Rosalee Cheatham of Texarkana, Texas; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at Center Point Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the cemetery fund or to the Center Point Renewal.

Covid rules will be in effect by social distancing or wearing a mask.
