Rita Faye Blue Ward, age 52, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, at her home.
She was born July 22, 1968, in De Queen, Ark. She was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Dierks, Ark. Mrs. Ward enjoyed going to thrift stores, attending church and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Wayman and Eva Ina Alexander Blue; two brothers, Rodney Blue and Danny Jo Blue, and two sisters, Debbie Johnson and Margaret Ann Blue.
She is survived by: her husband, Jimmy Ward; one son and daughter-in-law, Wayman and Virginia Ward of Dierks; one daughter and son-in-law, Danielle and Sam Willis of Dierks; three stepchildren and their spouses, Nikki and Billy Pate of Kirby, Ark., James Ward of Dierks, DJ and Chris Keith of Broken Bow, Okl., six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Randall Frazier of Antlers, Okla., and a number of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ward were at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at the Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Andy Arnold officiating.
Burial followed at Sunshine Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home, Dierks.
General viewing for Mrs. Ward was Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, from 4-8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.
