Susie Evans Williamson, age 72, passed away peacefully at home in Columbus, Ark., on Sunday, May 17, 2020. She was born Carol Sue Evans on March 19, 1948, at home in Mineral Springs, Ark., the youngest of 8 children.
Susie attended Columbus Grade School, Saratoga High School, Texarkana College and Southern Arkansas University (Southern State). She was a Certified Public Accountant in Texas and Arkansas.
Susie was voted Miss Columbus Arkansas in the 8th grade and attended the Miss Columbus U.S.A. convention in Columbus, Ohio. She lived and worked in various accounting firms in Texarkana, Texas and Arkansas, Dallas, Texas, Ashdown, Arkansas, Grapevine, Texas, South Lake, Texas, Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Shreveport, Louisiana.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Williamson, her parents, Leo and Elsie Evans of Columbus, Ark., three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Joyce Evans of Bossier City, La., Leo Edwin and Ruth Marie Evans, and Charles Curtis Evans, and nephew, Chris Evans all of Columbus, Ark.
She is survived by one sister, Barbara Evans of Columbus, Ark., and three brothers, Ralph (Linda) Evans of Springhill, La., Gene Evans, and Lynn (Charlyne) Evans of Columbus, Ark. Numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
She loved to shop and to travel and cook for her family, while hosting many family get togethers, small or large. She enjoyed keeping up with all of her family and friends by phone, texting, and visits.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Columbus Cemetery with Dr. Sam Peebles officiating, arrangements are under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. You may send the family a sympathy message to Nashville Funeral Home on Face Book.
