Evangeline Merle Reeves, 86, of Nashville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 20, 2020. Vangie was born in Stockdale, Texas, to J.B. Tumlinson and Pearl Haynes on Nov. 11, 1933.
On Aug. 19, 1995 she married Marvin Reeves in Houston, Texas. She spent most of her time caring for her family and her animals. She loved hummingbirds and roses and also enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to fish with Papa and she had a caring heart and always knew what to say during difficult times.
Vangie is preceded in death by her parent, J.B. and Faye Tumlinson, and Albert and Pearl Haynes; her husband, Marvin Reeves and Donald Brown and brother-in-law Richard Brown.
Vangie is survived by her Sister Thelma Fuller and brother Jimmy Ray Haynes, sister-in-law Sue Brown, daughters Donna Tucker and husband Mike, Jo Bates, and her step-daughter Robin Cameron. Her grandchildren Chip Reeves and wife Kitty, Richard Rumery and wife Christie, Randall Rumery and wife Shara, and Scotty Cameron, Joseph Bate, Josh Bates, and Steve and Kelli Bates. Great grandchildren, Cody Miller, Tyler Rumery, Catelyn Rumery, Celsie Rumery and Loryn Rumery, Harrison, Kensey, and Addison Reeves, Mariah and Halee Bates, Jordan and Lexi Bates, and Braelynne and Baylor Bates and numerous nieces and nephews.
