Loyd Wayne Whisenhunt, 83, of Ashdown died Nov. 10, 2019. He was born Jan. 14, 1936, to the late H.B. and Omie Capps Whisenhunt in Garvin, Okla.
He was a member of the Ashdown Church of Christ where he had served as an elder.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, and two sisters, Audrey and Zelma.
Survivors include: his wife of more than 62 years, Mattie Stanton Whisenhunt; daughters Tamye Lamb, Sharon Shelton and Jan Johnson; a brother, J.W. Whisenhunt; a sister, Helen Little; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 16, 1 p.m. at Ashdown Church of Christ with David Formby officiating, followed by private interment at Saratoga Cemetery.
