Dierks fireman’s home lost to July 4 fire

    The Dierks and Center Point fire departments had to fight a fire at a home of one of their own on July 4, according to CP Fire Chief Alan Green.

    Green said the CP and Dierks departments were called out around 10:43 p.m. for a fire on Main Avenue in Dierks, the home of Dierks fireman Cody Blair. Green said no one was home at the time of the fire and the home was a complete loss.

    Dierks responded to the fire with three trucks and 10 firefighters and Center Point sent three trucks and 11 firefighters to the scene.
