Glen Wesley Young, Sr., 77, of McCaskill, Ark., passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019, at his home.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1941 in Delta, Colo., the son of the late Israel Sherman and Bertha Wilson Young.
Mr. Young was a member of the McCaskill Church of Christ, and was a concrete finisher for fifty-seven years, forty-seven of those years was finishing in Arkansas.
Glen will always be known for his gentle nature, his kindness, his love for his family, and his his sense of humor. He was more than a daddy, more than a grandpa, or uncle. He was our Patriarch whom we all looked to for guidance. Although we all feel grief because he has left us, we thank God that he blessed us with having him be part of our lives.
He was preceded in death by five siblings and one nephew, Donnie Wilson.
Survivors include: one son, Wesley Young and fiancé Mary Bailey of McCaskill, Ark.; one daughter, Dena Arnold and husband, Matt, of McCaskill, Ark.; two siblings, Allen Young and wife, Sandy, of Calif.; and Rachel Plank of Texas; Veda Knobb of Texas; a sister-in-law, Juanita Wilson of McCaskill, Ark.; a niece, Laura Clark; two great nieces, Katherine Williamson and Jordan Massey; as well as one grandson, Seth Arnold, of McCaskill, Ark., who was his world. As one great-great niece Addi Williamson.
Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 31, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Wayne Clark, Laura Clark, and Dr. Thomas Fox officiating. Burial followed in Billstown Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Pallbearers were Matt Arnold, Seth Arnold, Jason Boozer, Tony Fatherree, Justin Crabtree, Gerald Landsdale.
