Betty Lorine Stelter Haltom Jones, 86, formerly of Murfreesboro, died on April 16, 2019 in Hughes Springs, Texas.
She was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Rosboro, Ark., the daughter of the late Harry “Huey” C. and Lela Zelma Ponder Stelter.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church, and was worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, William “Bill” Haltom and Lloyd Martin Jones; a daughter, Dawn Lorine Jones; and three sisters, Johnnie Mae Stelter, Lola Maxine Holder, and Nola Ray Tankersley.
Survivors include: a son, Stephen Lee Haltom and wife, Debbie of Long Star, Texas; two daughters, Carol Head of Hope, and Betty Sue Dupuis and husband, Johnny of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Toland Jay Stetler of Alexandria, Ind.; a sister, Dovie Jane Morris of Alexandria, Ind.; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was one hour before service time, Saturday, April 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. The service was at 11 a.m. with Charles Holder officiating. Burial followed in Murfreesboro Cemetery.
