Marshall Odell Wesson, 89, of Nashville, Ark., died Friday, March 8, 2019, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Wesson was born Jan. 28, 1930, in Bingen, Ark.

He was retired from Tyson Foods and was a member of Williams Memorial Church in Nashville. He and his wife were chosen Howard County Farm Family of the Year in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Gussie Wesson; his brothers Raymond and Forrest Wesson; a sister, Eula Mae Harrington, a granddaughter, Mallory Ware, and a great-grandson, Bryceton Cannon.

Survivors include: the love of his life for 69 years, Allie Mae Thrower Wesson of Nashville; three daughters, Carolyn Lofton (husband Luther, deceased), Gwendolyn white, and husband, Bruce, of Nashville, and Carolyn Wesson of Texarkana, Ark.; four sons, Jerry Wesson and Larry Wesson of Nashville, Charles Wesson and wife, Lois, of Delight, Ark., and Clarence Wesson of Nashville; a brother, Homer ‘Bailey’ Wesson, Jr., of Omaha, Neb., and a sister, Deloies ‘Dee’ Haddox of St. Louis, Mo.; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 15, 2019, at Hicks Funeral Home in Hope, Ark.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Williams Memorial Church in Nashville.
