Dillon Sidney Anthony passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at his home in Wake Village, Texas. He was 72.

Mr. Anthony was born Oct. 14, 1945, in Many, La., to Robert and Lona Bell Salter Anthony. He was an independent contractor, a licensed realtor and a member of the First Baptist Church in Nash, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. 

He is survived by his wife, Linda Funderburk Anthony of Wake Village, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Traci and Brad Stephens of New Boston, Texas, Cristi and Craig Hicks of Hooks, Texas and Dana and Terrell Marcom of Clarksville, Tenn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Dillon “Chip” and Halee Anthony of McGregor, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Anthony of Logansport, La., and Douglas Anthony of Texarkana, Texas; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services were 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Nash, Texas, with his son, Chip, son-in-law Terrell Marcom and Pastor Rex Roberts officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Springs Cemetery in Hooks, Texas, under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation was held from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Nash, Texas. Friends were invited to visit the family in their home following the service from 6-8 p.m.

Flowers were received at First Baptist Church, Nash, Texas or contributions can be made in memory of Dillon at The Friendship Center of Texarkana, Texas.
