Bessie Crowell Mitchell, 100, of Cerro Gordo, Ark., died Thursday, Nov. 09, 2017, in De Queen.
She was born Oct. 19, 1917, in Murfreesboro, the daughter of the late Silas and Clarice Farrer Crowell.
She was a farmer and was a member of the State Line Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Obie Mitchell; two children, Randy Mitchell and Sharon Owens; three sisters; and five brothers.
Survivors include: four daughters, Glenda Tinkes of Ben Lomond, Arlene Jones of De Queen, Kirma Kohler of Ukiah, Calif., and Hellen Milam of De Queen; one son, James Earl Mitchell of Broken Bow, Okla.; also grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, at the Stateline Baptist Church in Cerro Gordo, Ark. Burial followed in the Cerro Gordo Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. Visitation was 6-8 Saturday, Nov. 11 at the funeral home.
