William Sanders Truly, 85, of Lockesburg, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at his home.

He was born March 15, 1932, in Brownwood, Texas, the son of the late William Allingham and Mildred Josephine Etta Sanders Truly.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was a poultry farmer.  He was a member of the Lighthouse Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Kay Truly, and a brother, Robert C. Truly.

Survivors include: his wife, Mildred Louise Jester Truly; four daughters, Sandra Goforth and husband, Bill, of Lantana, Texas, Jamie Apple and husband, Brian, of Houston, Texas, Donna Coulter and husband, John, of Lockesburg, and Sandra Pietens and husband, Danny, of Lockesburg; two sons, Tony and Becky Harrison of Horatio, and Bobby and Mary Ann Harrison of Argyle, Texas; a sister, Sue Barnard of Moore, Okla.; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 2 p.m.,Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017, in the Lighthouse Church with Buster Dellinger and Gene Jester officiating. Burial follows in the Belleville Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the funeral home in De Queen.
