Glen Moss, age 68, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
He was born on March 22, 1949 in Cooper, Texas, the son of Monroe Moss and Mary Lorean Pate Moss. On August 9, 1974, he was married to Brenda Kay Cogburn. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mac Cogburn; his parents; his brother, Charles Moss; and his father- in-law, Toney Cogburn.
Glen was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Mitchell’s Auto Supply. He was an active member of the Community Bible Baptist Church. With his outgoing personality and smile, Glen never met a stranger. He loved being around his grandchildren and enjoyed working, fixing and restoring anything from homes to cars.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Moss of Glenwood; his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Angela Moss of Greenbrier; his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Randy Cogburn of Kirby; five grandchildren, Hannah Moss, Haleigh Moss, Hunter Moss, Kaylee Cogburn and Randi Cogburn; his brother, Benny Moss of Glenwood; his mother-in-law, Faircie Cogburn of Daisy; and his nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 14, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Tony Hill officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vance Moss, Corey Cogburn, Mike Johnson, Mike Graves, Jason Tweedle and Larry Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Dickison, Harley Tidwell, Jimmy Anderson, Sonny Bowen, George Howell and his entire church family at Community Bible Baptist Church.
