Schevonne Fendley, age 73, of Nashville, went to her eternal home on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at her home in Nashville with her family by her side.
She was born April 26, 1944, in Los Angles, Calif., to the late James “Jim” Gresham and Nobia Ward Gresham. She was retired from the Nashville Public Schools. She was a homemaker and a faithful wife, mother, sister and friend to many. She loved her roses and family was her life. Most of all though, she loved her Lord and Savior.
She was married to her best friend and the love of her life, Ray Fendley of Nashville, for over 49 years.
Her survivors include: her two children, Lisa Welch and husband, Robert, of Nashville, and her son, Steven Fendley and wife, Leslie, of McCaskill, Ark.; also, her only sister, Brenda Godwin and husband, Butch, of Nashville; a niece, Miki Mussett and husband, Clifford, of Murfreesboro, Ark.; great-nephew and niece, Austin and Morgan Mussett of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Rabekah Fendley, Sabrina Fendley, and Ashley Fendley of Greenbriar, Ark., Paycie Welch, Bevonne Welch of Nashville, Chance Vermillion, Chelsie Vermillion, Savannah Vermillion of McCaskill, and Dillion Cox of Nashville. Also, two special friends, Dallas Sweeden and wife, Gail, of Nathan, Ark., and Red White and wife, Hazel, of Nathan. A large host of other family and friends.
Services were Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Nashville Funeral Home with Rob Evans and Bobby Gresham officiating. Interment followed in Academy Cemetery in Nathan.
