June E. Gray, age 100, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach, Missouri.
June was born June 5, 1917 in Mount Ida, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Morris and Della (Scott) Elder.
On June 7, 1940 in Mount Ida, Arkansas, June was united in marriage to Harry O. Gray who preceded her in death January 16, 2003. They had shared 62 years together at the time of Harry’s death.
June was a loving and devoted wife and helpmate to her husband Harry and wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother to her daughter and her families.
She was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she made many dear friends. She created many beautiful memories for her family and friends to treasure for the rest of their lives. She will be sorely missed.
June is survived by her daughter Glenda Emmons and husband, David, of Camdenton, Missouri; her sister, Ruth Oster of Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren Dellana Byler of Blue Springs, Missouri and Jodie Leap and husband, Keith, of Napoleon, Missouri; and three great-grandchildren, Andrew Byler, Brittany Leap and Brandon Leap.
June was preceded in death by her parents Morris and Della Elder.
Private Family services will be held at a later date in Mount Ida, Arkansas.
