Lorene Skates, 85, of Amity, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017.
She was born July 29, 1932, at Lodi, the daughter of the late Pat Whisenhunt and Opal Hanson Whisenhunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Skates, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carolyn Chambers of Nashville, and Debbie Woodward of Amity; three grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, in the Amity First Baptist Church with Bro. John McAnally and Bro. Melvin Markham officiating.
Burial followed in Wesleyan Cemetery at Point Cedar under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
