Ivory Dean Porter-Morrison, 74, of Tollette, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017.
She was born Sept. 2, 1942, the daughter of the late Jasper and Lizzie E. Brown. She was a reading teacher and was a member of F.T. Jeans CME Church in Tollette.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Latrice and Patrice Johnson, and siblings Evelyn Clay, Katherine Porter, Isaac Brown, and Henry Leo Brown.
Survivors include: her husband, Ralph Morrison, Sr., of Tollette; her children, Darrell (Marsha) Brown of Texarkana, Texas, and Juan (Chanda) Johnson of Nashville; sisters Geneva Gamble, Barbara Duruisseau, Alice Johnson and Elizabeth Brown; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, at F.T Jeans Church in Tollette at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Crofton Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.
