Harold C. “Robby” Roberts, 81, of El Dorado, Kans., formerly of Topeka, Kans., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at home.
Visitation was 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, and the service was at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, both at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, Kans.
Burial followed at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta, Kans. Harold was born in Nashville, Ark., on Dec. 6, 1935, to the late Minnie Evelyn (Cooley) and Edwin Roberts.
He graduated from Nashville High School, and after graduation he served in the U.S. Air Force. Later he became a salesman and worked at EVCO Wholesale Grocery. On Jan. 4, 1958, he married his first wife, Joyce (Smith) in Topeka, Kans., who preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2005. On May 12, 2014, he married Judith (LaFever) (Miller) Roberts in Nashville, Ark., who survives him.
He is also survived by: son, Richard Roberts of Higbee, Mo.; daughter, Marie Crafts and husband Derek of Melvern, Kans.; stepsons, Barry Jennings and wife Susan of Eckland, Mo., Johnny Miller of El Dorado, Kans.; stepdaughters, Sandra Melcher and husband Marty, of Park City, Kans., Judy Anne Cooper and husband Brian, of Drumright, Okla., Jennifer Weber and husband Jason of El Dorado, Kans., Nancy Daw and husband Richard of Andover, Kans.; sisters, Betty Ann Oliver of Fort Smith, Ark., Joyce Teagues and husband William of Nashville, Ark., Mary Ellen Wood of Milwaukee, Wisc.; grandchildren, Christopher Schumann; step grandchildren, Bailey, Mackenzie, Jerrie Mae, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Brianne, Jaclyn, and Jakob; step great grandchildren, Saxton , Gabi, and Josh. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna May Markam; brother, Christopher Roberts. Memorial donations to Gideon’s International ,P.O.
