Peggy May Camp Pennington “Granny,” age 74, of Murfreesboro, Ark., passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in Hot Springs, Ark. She was born on Aug. 9, 1942 in Pine Bluff, Ark., the daughter of the late James Elbert and Cynthia Harrison Camp. 

Mrs. Pennington was a member of the Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She truly enjoyed genealogy and researching her family history.

She was preceded in death by a sister Jo Ann McDaniel.

Survivors include: her husband, Joe Pennington of Murfreesboro, Ark.; one son, Michael Pennington (Cora) of Chapmanville, W.Va.; two daughters, Becky Pennington (O’Neal Teel) of Wake Village, Texas, and Betty Parrish (Mark) of Murfreesboro, Ark.; one brother, Jimmy Camp (Dorothy) of El Paso, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Douglas Woodruff III (Kendra), Tabitha Woodruff (Ricky Lewis), Amber Woodard (Steve), Jessica Stout (Nathan), Tiffany Dunn (Kevin), Chance Allmon, Zac Parrish, Ty Parrish, McKenzie Allmon, Lauren Pianalto (Zac), fourteen great grandchildren, as well as a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews that she adored.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Friday, July 7, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Dave Henderson, Bro. Dwayne Parish, Bro. Chuck Reel, Bro. Glen Green, Bro. Wayne Johnson, Bro. Michael Daniel officiating. Burial followed in Murfreesboro Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
