James Harold Stinnett, 82, of De Queen, died Monday, April 10, 2017 in Texarkana, Texas.

He was born May 16, 1934, in De Queen, the son of the late John Oscar and LeVenia McCauley Stinnett.

He was a conductor for D&E Railroad, and was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Ann Emerson Stinnett, and two brothers, Carl Stinnett and Donald Stinnett.

Survivors include: a daughter, Brenda Bennett and husband, Danny, of Texarkana, Ark.; a son, Doug Stinnett and wife, Jimna, of De Queen; three sisters, Joy Tanner of Russellville, Sue Tollett of Lockesburg, and Kathleen Miller of Horatio; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Carlton officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Ida Cemetery.

Visitation was for one hour prior to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
