Gladys L. Bear, 100, of Nashville, died April 4, 2017, in Nashville.
She was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Nacogdoches, Texas, the daughter of the late John Bunyon and Dovie Avis Rodgers Jones.
She was a Baptist and was a Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Homer Ray Bear, and a grandson.
Survivors include: a son, Ronald Ray Bear of St. Jo, Texas; a daughter, Judy Dalton of Nashville; also, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the Midway Baptist Church, with Aaron Crawford officiating. Arrangements by Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
