No business better exemplifies the theme of this year’s Chamber of Commerce than the new venue The Standridge Place.

The theme for this year’s Mount Ida Area Chamber of Commerce is “Growing a Business” and that is what the owner of The Standridge Place has done.

Mount Ida is known for its scenic beauty and as a vacation destination, but it has been lacking when it comes to group venue options.

Caitlin Davis provides a unique venue experience by sharing her family farm nestled in the Ouachita Mountains with people looking for a special location for their events.

They are able to accommodate just about any type of event and offer wedding services unmatched in the area.

They have hosted the prom for Mount Ida this year and look forward to providing a one of a kind experience for this year’s Chamber Banquet.

The Mount Ida Area Chamber Banquet will be held April 13 at The Standridge Place located just East of Mount Ida on Highway 270.

The banquet will begin at 6 p.m. with a meal prepared by Jenn’s Specialty Foods.

A special part of the banquet event will be recognition of area individuals and organizations who work to make the community better through their volunteer efforts.

Speakers for the banquet include Joe David Rice, Director of Tourism, Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, and Chelsea Goza with Henderson State University Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center.

The Chamber’s new Visitor and Relocation Guide will be revealed at the banquet. The guide cover will display the first place winner in the photography contest.

There will be a limited auction including a limited supply of pies baked fresh at Shangri-La Resort.

Banquet tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the Chamber office, Bates Sales and Service, or Action Realty.
