Lois Fryar, age 91, of Mt. Ida, Ark., passed away, at Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab, Sunday March 5, 2017 in Mena, Ark.
Lois was born Oct. 4, 1925 in Dierks, Ark., to the late Joseph Granvile and Lora Sharp. Lois was a very hard worker, having worked in Montgomery County Nursing Home and the Mt. Ida Glove Factory. She enjoyed spending time with her friend at the Montgomery Senior Center and loved playing dominoes. Some of Lois’ favorite pasttimes were going to the casino, quilting and spending time by the water and fishing.
She is survived by: sons, Joey Fryar and wife, LeAnn, of Mena, Ark., and Terry Fryar of Arlington, Texas; daughters, Sue F. Richardson and husband, Jack, of Mansfield, Texas, and Jean Dean of Mena, Ark.; grandchildren: Robbin Porter, Janice Fuqua and husband, Barry, Shelly Wilson and husband, Chris, Josh Fryar and wife, Nicole, and Lyndsee Fryar; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Rudolph Sharp; and sisters: Carolyn Green, Mary F. Holt, Inez Sanders and Martha Tylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Franklin Fryar; her parents, Joseph Granvile and Lora Sharp, and a grandson, Jack Dennis Richardson.
Graveside services were Tuesday March 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Pineridge Cemetery, under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Steve Ellison. Visitation was Monday March 6, 2017 at 6-8 p.m. in the Beasley-Wood Chapel.
