Gerald K. Berner, 77 of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 in Nashville, Ark.
He was born on Oct. 11, 1939, the son of the late Karl and Orma Thornbury Berner.Â
Mr. Berner was a Major in the United States Air Force; a member of the Howard Emergency Amateur Radio Club. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Nashville, and truly loved remote control airplanes.
Survivors include: his wife, Claudia Hayhurst Berner; children and spouses Kris (Don) Hagwell, Kevin (Kimmie) Berner, Ellen (Steven) Pitt, Tabitha McMickle, Cynthia (Will) Jackson; 11 grandsons, Sean Hagwell, Cory Hagwell, William Berner, Alex Berner, Justin Russell, Charles Frantz, Robert Frantz, Chesli Jackson, Scott Shamrock, Brandon Shamrock, Alec Jackson; six granddaughters, Miranda Berner, Kayla Pitt, Lacy Pitt, Stephanie Dusza, Angela Rowe, and Jessica Moore; three great-granddaughters, Mylie Hagwell, Kynadie Shamrock, and Kinsley Simmons. As well as three brothers, James (Sharon) Berner, Richard Berner, and Roger Berner.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Benevolence Fund at the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 119, Nashville, AR 71852.
Cremation services are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.Â
