Judge Perry V. Whitmore, 91, of North Little Rock, died Feb. 7, 2017.
He was born in De Queen on April 23, 1925, to the late Claude and Partha Whitmore in DeQueen.
He was an army veteran of the Korean War, and was awarded the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and the Commendation Ribbon as Infantry Company Commander.
He was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College and the University of Arkansas School of Law. He was the elected Circuit Judge for Pulaski and Perry counties for 12 years.
Judge Whitmore was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Bethea of Bearden.
Survivors include: his wife, Marjorie Corbell Whitmore; a daughter, Jayne Fulenwider of Memphis; three sons, Perry Whitmore, Jr., of Little Rock, Bill Whitmore of North Little Rock, and Mark Whitmore of Little Rock; a sister, Jo Billings of Center Point; and Visitation was Friday, Feb. 10 at Smith Funeral Home, North Little Rock.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Park Hill Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Burial was in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
