Luke Irene Ballard Price, 85 of Murfreesboro, Ark., passed away on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016 in Murfreesboro, Ark.
She was born on Aug. 28, 1931 in Mt. Moriah, Ark., the daughter of the late James Luke Ballard and Mary Irene Tallant Ballard.
Mrs. Price was a member of the First Christian Church, she was a Christian lady and very active in the church. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, and gardening. She truly loved people and kids, and loved cooking for family and friends. Mrs. Price was a poultry inspector for the USDA where she inspected many processing plants in Southwest Arkansas.Â
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hall Price; a son, Mobie Price; two brothers, J.C. Ballard and James Ballard.
Survivors include: her daughter, Marsha Molnaird and husband Lewis of Murfreesboro, Ark.; one brother, Minor Chaney and wife Pat of Murfreesboro, Ark.; two sisters-in- law, Georgia Ballard of Murfreesboro, Ark., and Atha Ballard of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Dena Price of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren, Heath Molnaird, Nathan Molnaird, Chad Horn, Adam Horn, and Kent White; six great-grandchildren Grace, Garrett, Haylie, Cole, Graham, Kallen, and one special friend, Joe Burns of Murfreesboro, Ark.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro, with Rob Evans and Dan Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
