Billy Gene Turbeville, Sr., age 73 of Nashville, Ark., went home to his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born March 6, 1943 in Nashville to the late William A. and Ruby Stuart Turbeville.
He was a truck driver, mechanic and cattle and poultry farmer. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Nashville, and was a true Christian man. Bill was an avid Scrapper fan and Razorback fan. He loved hunting, his dogs and adored his grandchildren. He attended Nashville High school and played football and basketball. He was president of Proven Ground Hunting Club, and loved coaching Pee Wee football in the past.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Clell Dean Turbeville and Dr. James Odell Turbeville.
His survivors include: his best friend and love of his life for over 52 years, Pauline Brown Turbeville of Nashville; children, Billy and (Kim) Turbeville, Jr., of Ozan, Ark., Pam and (Clint) Cox of Murfreesboro, Ark., Scott and (Beth) Turbeville of Nashville; grandchildren, Chase and Brandy Turbeville, Caitlin and Nathan Kinney, Allyson Cox, Gavin Cox, Mason Turbeville, and Chloe Turbeville; great-gradchildren, Abigail Turbeville, Tristan Kinney, Karson Kinney, Jaylee Kinney, Karter Pate, Laney Pate; sisters-in-law, Paula Turbeville and Delores Turbeville; special friends Mike McCoy and Wayne Copeland; a host of nieces, nephews and a number of friends.
Services were Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Nashville Funeral Home with Joe Kelly and Rex Moorer officiating. Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park.
