Catron facing rape, theft charges

Christopher Catron, age 31 of Glenwood, faces six charges including two counts of rape and a pair of theft of property charges.
Catron was arraigned Tuesday, December 6, in circuit court on six different charges.
he faces one count of aggrevated robbery, a class Y felony, two counts of rape, both class Y felonies, one count of battery in the first degree, a class B felony, one count of theft of property, a class B felony, and theft of property, a class D felony.
Judge Jerry Ryan also ordered Catron to have no contact with Tonya Clemons and is prohibited from entering her property.
He is being held on a $150,000 bond.
A pretrial date was set for March 7, 2017 and a jury trial was set for March 17, 2017.
Catron is currently serving four years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections on a drug conviction stemming from an arrest in 2014.
He had been under serving supervised probation after pleading guilty to one count of delivery of a scheduled II controlled substance, a class C felony.
He was arrested September 7 after a PPO visit was requested by his probation officer. Catron was found hiding under an overturned bathtub in his yard.
Reasons for the probation revocation listed in the petition filed in the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office include failure to life a law abiding life and failure of a urine test.
Catron was also accused of being in violation of the protection order on his wife and charged with public intoxication August 1 of this year in Pike County.
Catron also tested positive for marijuana in a urine test ordered by his PPO.
