Five area teams will compete in the opening round of the state football playoffs Friday night.
In Class 4A, District 7-4A champion Nashville will host Dover, the fifth seed from District 4-4A.
In Class 2A, district co-champ Murfreesboro will be at home against the Lavaca Golden Arrows.
The Dierks Outlaws, the district’s four seed, will be on the road to visit the Earle Bulldogs.
District co-champ Mt. Ida will host Johnson County Westside.
Foreman will host East Poinsett County.
All games will begin at 7 p.m.
