Residents of Nashville Nursing and Rehab recently packed 25 Operation Christmas Child boxes which will be shipped to needy children throughout the world. This is the second year residents have participated in OCC. The group includes (front row) Billie Webb, Shirley Stiger, Glinda Byers, Mary Jane Pickett, Iris Hill and Helen Chapman; (back row) Helen Tommey, activities director Joyce Reed, Jimmie Jean White, Wilton Graves, Helen Mounts, Jonice Blackwell, activities assistant Lisa Michaud, Martha Cox, and Electa Wiley.

National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child will be Nov. 14-21.

Thousands of shoe boxes are being packed throughout the area to send to children around the world, according to Southwest Arkansas coordinator Beverly Starr of Nashville.

“Love and hope, as well as the message of salvation in Christ Jesus, will be shared with them,” Starr said. “How privileged we are to have the opportunity to share in the Operation Christmas Child ministry.”

The collection center in Nashville is located in the Family Activities Building at First Baptist Church. The schedule includes the following:

Nov. 14 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Nov. 15 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Nov. 16 – 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Nov. 17 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Nov. 18 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Nov. 19 – 10 a.m. – 12 noon.

Nov. 20 – 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Nov. 21 – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The schedule for the Ashdown Relay Center at First Baptist Church of Ashdown includes the following:

Nov. 14 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1-4 p.m.

Nov. 15 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1-4 p.m.

Nov. 16 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon.

Nov. 17 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1-4 p.m.

Nov. 18 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1-4 p.m.

Nov. 19 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon.

Nov. 20 – 2 – 4 p.m.

Nov. 21 – 9 a.m. – 12 noon.

The schedule for the Horatio Relay Center at First Baptist Church of Horatio includes the following:

Nov. 14 – 5-7 p.m.

Nov. 15 – 5-7 p.m.

Nov. 16 – 4-6 p.m.

Nov. 17 – 5-7 p.m.

Nov. 18 – 5-7 p.m.

Nov. 19 – 10 a.m. – 12 noon.

Nov. 20 – 3-5 p.m.

Nov. 21 – 9-11 a.m.
