Yovonna “Ruthie” Sekavec, age 58, of Mt. Ida, passed away October 24, 2016 at her home.
She was born May 18, 1958 to Rufus and Mary Sekavec of Mt. Ida, AR. Yovonna is preceded in death by one brother, David Sekavec. She was a woman who in spite of her own problems and pains, always had time for the problems of others. She loved blindly and without regaurd to past transgressions. She often gave without reason, expecting nothing in return. A mother by nature, with an open door to all. She will be greatly missed by all that truly knew her.
Survivors include: son, Jeremiah Sakavec: Parents Rufus and Mary Sekavec: Brother, Tim Sekavec: Grandson, Logan Sekavec.
A graveside service was held Saturday, October 29, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at Stanley-Standridge Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers: Jerry Green, Jerry Wares, Danny Parker, Harry Laird, Charlie Poteet, Barry Spivey, Steve Couch, Chad Davis, Eddie Phillips, local EMT’s and First Responders, and the spirit of Marc Steinburg.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR.
