Verna Sue Anderson, age 80, of Kirby, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016.
She was born on September 4, 1936, in Collingsworth County, Texas, the daughter of James Hobker Adams and Lucinda Catherine Hurt Adams. On February 23, 1968, she was married to Fay Anderson who preceded her in death on February 4, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Herman Adams, Pearl Page, Raymond Adams, Fletcher Adams and Franklin Adams.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Russ Hill of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Brad Hill of Bryant, Jackson Hill, McKenzie Hill and Gracen Hill, all of Little Rock; her brother, Sam Adams of Wellington, Texas; her sister, Betty McNeil of Amity; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 27, 2016, in the Caney Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Bobby Golden officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 PM until service time, at the church.
Interment will be in Caney Valley Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
