Superintendent Veotis Robinson, pastor of the Northside Church of God in Christ, Mineral Springs, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016.
He was born Sept. 2, 1928, in Ogden, Ark. He was pastor at the Mineral Springs church for 47 years and was appointed District Superintendent in 1966.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thurman C. Robinson.
Survivors include: his wife, Georgia Robinson of Ogden; sons Veotis Robinson, Jr., of Ashdown, Barry R. Robinson of Baton Rouge, La., Jackie R. Robinson of Texarkana, Texas, Rufus Robinson of Ogden, Warren Robinson of Little Rock; daughters Linda J. Hobbs of Ogden, Annette Chavers of Ashdown, Colleen D. Robinson of Dallas, Felecia Thomas of Texarkana, Donna Brewer of Jacksonville, J. LeKaty Hatley of Douglassville, Texas, and Holly Stephens of Duncanville, Texas; a sister, Easter Wynn of Sacramento, Calif.; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lonoke Baptist Church in Texarkana. Burial followed at Armstrong Cemetery, Ogden.
