Mrs. Mary Elizabeth” Sissy” Harris, age 73, a resident of Dierks, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at her home.
She was born Sept. 17, 1943, in De Queen, Ark. She was a retired teacher for the Dierks Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her parents, Lyde B. Williams, Sr., and Helen Marjorie Kiser Williams, and her brother, James F. ‘Willie’ Williams.
She is survived by: her husband, James Harris; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kevin Fox; three grandchildren, Isabel, Alysa, and Tyra; two brothers, Lyde Williams, Jr. and Earl Williams; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harris were at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, in the Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel in Dierks with Bobby Neal officiating. Burial followed in the Dierks Cemetery.
The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 at the funeral home in Dierks.
