Joyce Ann Smith was born July 7, 1958 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to Peggy Jordan and the late Sampson Jordan. She departed this life on November 1, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Smith.
She graduated from Murfreesboro High School in 1976. She was currently employed at the Murfreesboro Nursing Center, but she gave thirty plus years to Poulan (Husqvarna). She loved spending time with her family especially her two boys. She enjoyed sitting on her mother’s porch or just being outside. She loved fishing, family get togethers, and helping people. She was a very loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Mother Peggy Jordan of Murfreesboro; two sons Rodrick Jordan (Tiffinany); Kartez Smith (Tanya) both of Texarkana; one grand-daughter Tkendriona Jordan of Texarkana; Four sisters Gloria Nelson of Murfreesboro; Carol White of Murfreesboro; Nita Johnson of Murfreesboro; Deborah Clardy of Upland, CA; a special friend Roderick Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She also loved her second mother Martha Lamb.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, with burial following in United Methodist Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
