Bertha Oma Axton James, 102, of North Richland Hills, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, in Bedford, Texas.
She was born June 14, 1914, in Howard County, the daughter of the late John and Betty Potts Axton. She was a retired LPN and member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo James; a daughter, Patsy V. James; two brothers, Lecil Axton and Cecil Axton; a sister, Edna Axton.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct.31, 2016, in the Dierks Cemetery with Kevin Herrington officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
