Obituary: Everett Jean Spickard; Hot Springs

Everett Jean Spickard, 88, of Hot Springs has become one of our Lord’s angels on Friday, October 14, 2016, joining her parents, C. E. and Ruth Hill and one sister, Bobbie Sue Alstock at the Lord ’s Table. Jean is leaving a daughter. Donna McKeever and husband, Mac of Hot Springs; a son, Steve Spickard and wife, Wanda of Pearcy; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren; four sisters, Billie Garton, Jackie Adams, Jamie Stone and Pat Beene; and one brother, Sonny Hill. Jean had an extended family, Cathy, Mike Frericks and family of Brazoria, Texas; David, Denise Brandon and family of Freeport, Texas.

She serviced as a pink lady at the local hospital, volunteered at the community food bank and other activities, Jean was a member of the Church of Christ, she loved to visit with family and friends. She loved to sew for family and friends, walk on the beach, eat good food and play with the great-great gran’s. She loved old movies and high heel shoes.

This prayer was found in her Bible, “Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, Forgive my doing what was wrong and make me pure, wise and strong, Amen.”

Jean’s family would to extend a very special thank-you to the doctors and nurses of Arkansas Hospice at St. Vincent’s CHI in Hot Springs.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23, at the Antoine Church of Christ with David Moore officiating.

The family invites everyone to join them at Antoine Community Building for food and visiting afterwards.
