Rev. Billy E. Singleton, 89, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Golden Years Retirement Resort.
Born in Oden, Arkansas, Billy was the son of the late Elbert and Emma Pruitt Singleton. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and served his country during World War II. Billy was a minister for 56 years, last serving a church in Mt. Ida, Arkansas. Upon retiring in 2010, he and his wife, Lois, moved to the Spring City community to be with daughter. Billy was a member of the Prairie Grove Church of God in Story, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lois C. Singleton and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include his daughter Linda (Bob) Chattin of Spring City, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Whittenbarger officiating.
Interment followed in the Spring City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
