Reuben Ray Reed, 82, of Nashville, Ark., passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 in Nashville, Ark.
He was born on July 14, 1934 in Sardis, Ark., the son of the late William “Bill” Andrew and Frances Tollett Reed.
Mr. Reed was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nashville and served on the administrative board as well as class treasurer for the men’s Bible class. He was a manager of the West Department Store for many years. Reuben also was a maintenance worker and school bus driver for Nashville Public Schools.
He was preceded in death by a daughter ,Cindy Reed DeWitt; two brothers, Alford and Thomas Reed.
Survivors include: his wife of over 56 years, JoJo Owens Reed of Nashville, Arl.; a son-in-law, Larry DeWitt of Hot Springs, Ark.; granddaughter ,Madison Rae DeWitt of Hot Springs, Ark.; step-granddaughter, Kameron DeWitt of Ft. Smith, Ark.; a great-granddaughter, Gia DeWitt of Ft. Smith, Ark.; one brother, Troy Reed of Wheaton, IL; three nieces, Peggy Lyons of Carol Stream, IL; Debbie Brown of Georgetown, Ky.; Sherri Harper of Rockford, Mich.; two nephews, Bill Reed of Rainbow City, Ala. and Don Reed of Algonquin, IL
Visitation was 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at Latimer Funeral Home.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the First United Methodist Church in Nashville with Bro. James Harris officiating Burial followed in Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
