Wilkins, Kenneth0001 (2)Kenneth Wilkins of Murfreesboro, Ark., was born on Oct. 30, 1941 in Harlington, Texas, the son of the late Henry Lee and Bonnie Morrison Wilkins.

Kenneth was a Christian and a musician. He enjoyed making music with friends and family. He retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department. One of his greatest passions was hunting, fishing, and camping with his family.  Kenneth’s favorite pasttime was riding the golf cart around his property with his great-grandkids, Mason and Sadie. 

 Kenneth was a family man who loved his wife of 50 years, his family and devoted his life to being the best husband, dad, papaw, brother, and Uncle Kenny that anyone could ask for.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Lee and Bonnie Wilkins, and a sister Helen Sue Freeman.

Survivors include: his wife, Clara Faye Mabery Wilkins of Murfreesboro, Ark.; son, Dale Wilkins (Cindy) of Murfreesboro, Ark.; son, Tracy Mabery (BJ) of Murfreesboro, Ark.; grandchildren, Zach Wilkins (Jamie) of Murfreesboro, Hannah Wilkins and John Varner of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Tori Davis, Erin Davis, Mason Wilkins, Sadie Varner all of Murfreesboro, sisters Shirley Brown of Krebs, Okla., Pat Rounsaville of McAlester, Okla., Linda Reynolds (Tracy) of Aztec, N.M. ; a brother, Jimmy Don Wilkins of Sulfur, Okla.; numerous, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services were 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro. Burial followed at Pike City Cemetery with Rob Evans officiating.
