The name may have changed at Jenn’s Specialty Foods, but her lunch menu is still the crown jewel in the plethora of services she serves to the guests at Mountain Harbor Resort and the surrounding community.
Jenn’s Specialty Foods, formerly known as Jenn’s Gourmet Galley, is located seven mile east of Mount Ida on Highway 270.
Since joining the Mountain Harbor family Jennifer Brewer has had the opportunity to expand her services to include ready made meals, provisioning services and catering.
Her ready made meals gives you an opportunity to enjoy the lake a little while longer. You can just run by the Mountain Harbor Marina, the Joplin Store, or the Valero Gas Station and pick up one of her ready made meals on your way to your cabin, or home.
Through her provisioning services she allows vacationers the ease of going straight to their rental property without worrying about stocking their refrigerator and cabinets.
She also offers catering services for all occasions. Whether it be an intimate anniversary dinner, or a family reunion, Jenn can provide a meal you won’t soon forget.
With all these new services it is easy to forget what Jenn’s is known for, an unforgettable lunch.
Jennifer established a reputation as someone who is willing to go the extra mile with her menu items. Her food has been described as “down home cooking with a gourmet flair.”
One will find such Southern favorites as cheeseburgers and french fries on the menu, but they are so much more than what most are used to eating. Jenn starts with fresh ground brisket, which will be cooked to order. Not many places can properly cook a burger the way you want, but the freshness of her burger patties allows you to enjoy that special attention to detail. Her fries are hand cut and double fried to perfection.
One of her most popular lunch specials is the seared Ahi tuna salad. Once again it doesn’t take more than the name to reveal there is more to her tuna salad than one might find at other restaurants. Her tuna salad features fresh greens topped with fresh seared Ahi tuna.

Jenn’s Specialty Foods is open Wednesday through Friday for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. She is also opene 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for brunch on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch on Sunday.
