MOUNT ZION CHURCH will have regular worship service on Sunday, morning at 11 a.m.. The public is invited. Pastor Isaiah Germany will be bringing the word. We look forward to seeing you, and yes, that means you.
There were no emergencies in the Cliff this week, but we still have had a lot of rain. We will probably have a lot of good home grown vegetables that we can enjoy. I have always known they were the best. My Mother was an avid gardener in her day. Our family leaned to eat just what she grew basically in her garden or what the neighbors shared.
Virginia Johnson has gotten a good start on her garden. I guess I’ll have to eat off her bounty. That’s what friends are for, to share.
I am so sorry I forgot to mention to file your taxes before the 18th. I barely got mine done right at the dead line. I wonder if that means something? Don’t forget to register to vote, the time is November 8th. It will be here before you know it. The rule is, if you don’t vote, you can’t complain later.
My grandson, Michiah Crosslin, is graduating from Beasley Academy Middle School in Chicago. He will enter high school in August We are expecting great things from him.
We are happy to report Mildred Crosslin is improving. Milton Hendrix is feeling some better, but will see the doctor this week. I am on the mend. We ask you to continue to pray for the sick and for our Country.

STEVEN CURRY, March 14, 1988, Professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association(NBA). He is considered by many to be the greatest shooter in NBA history. Curry has been outspoken about his Christian faith and gives all credit for who he is and for who he represents, because of his Lord and Savior. His life scripture is Philippians 3;8, “I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me.”(Wikipedia) I thought this was interesting that he and I share the same Life Scripture. CHRIST is the one to lean on for strength.
