Howard County Farmers’ Market will be open Friday, May 6 and is seeking volunteers to help with new projects.

Each volunteer will receive a nice personalized apron identifying them as a Market VIP.

Howard County Farmers’ Market has been approved to accept SNAP EBT cards, formerly called “Food Stamps,” and those who receive this benefit will be able to use their EBT (“Electronic Benefits Transfer”) cards to purchase food items at the market.  Volunteers are needed to help with this program by operating the EBT machine that processes the cards.

Persons who like to paint, weed, prune, garden or do other chores could help each Friday. Participants may work as much or as little as they like anytime between 7-3 on Fridays.

To volunteer, or for more information, contact Debra Bolding at 557-2352.
