Mr. Johnny Wayne Davis, age 67, a resident of Dierks, Arkansas, died Friday, April 8, 2016, at his home. He was born to John L. and Doris Marie Moore Davis in De Queen, Arkansas on January 29, 1949.  He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired millwright of 40 years at Weyerhaeuser in Dierks. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Ann Jackson Davis in May 1987; his sister, Joyce Marie Davis Lott in February 2002, his father in April 2003 and his mother in August 2004. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cindy Taylor Davis of Dierks; four sons and daughter-in-law, John Bradley Davis, Christopher Edward Davis, Kyle Wayne and Kourtney Davis and Coby Lewis Davis; two daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Ann and Jimmy Davis and Carli Michelle Davis all of Dierks; two grandsons, Jonathan Blake Davis of Dierks and Remington Wayne Davis of Lockesburg; three granddaughters, Lindsey Ann Dorsey of Dierks, Brynlei Mychelle Davis of Ashdown, and A’Kayla DaShae Carterby of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and one great-grandson, Dextin Lane Kemp of Dierks. Graveside funeral services with military rites for Mr. Johnny Wayne Davis will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2016, in the Dierks Cemetery with Bro.
