The Nashville Scrappers and DeQueen Leopards took a moment to pay tribute to DeQueen’s Layne Woods at the season opener. “If you look closely, all of Nashville’s jerseys have #LW25 with a big 25 on the back in gold and black. There is also a Leopard paw print on the sleeve with Layne’s number inside the paw. All of our love and prayers go out to the Dequeen baseball team and their fans this year and especially to the Woods families. We wanted to honor Layne’s memory and his love of the game along with all of you.” said Lesley White.
