The Outlaws kicked off their home baseball schedule Thursday evening hosting the Arkadelphia Badgers. Tyler Kesterson got the start on the mound for the Outlaws.
Kesterson pitched 4 innings striking out 6, walking 3 and only allowing 2 hits, giving up 2 runs.
Junior Lane Woodruff came on in relief for the Outlaws in the 5th, striking out 5 batters, walking 3 and allowing 2 runs on 4 hits.
Seniors Tyler Kesterson and Trendin McKinney had impressive appearances at the plate as well. McKinney went 2 for 3 with a double and a single, while Kesterson also went 2 for 3 with two singles and an RBI.
The Outlaws defeated the Badgers 6-4 and are currently 1-1 on the season dropping their first game to Arkansas High 3-1.
They will head to Nashville Monday evening to face the Scrappers at 5:00 pm
