Viola Lavelle

Corbell Caldwell

Viola Lavelle Corbell Caldwell, 76, of Nashville, formerly of Mineral Springs, died Saturday, March 5, 2016.

She was born July 21, 1939 in Mineral Springs to the late Whitten Eric and Gladys Reval Cassady Corbell.

She was a Sunday School teacher and member of the New Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Caldwell, and her brother, “Buzz” Darwin Corbell.

Survivors include: her husband of more than 58 years, Edward Caldwell, of Mineral Springs; a son, James Caldwell and wife, Sherri, of Mineral Springs; a daughter, Wendy Kerns and husband, Ricky, of Mineral Springs; a sister, Frances Paider of Texas; also grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10 a.m. at New Shiloh Baptist Church near Mineral Springs with Bro. David Raulerson officiating. Interment followed in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home.

Charles Ray Cox

Charles Ray Cox, 57, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Hot Springs.

He was born March 15, 1958 in Nashville, the son of the late E.C. “Shorty” Cox and Bessie York Cox.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Monty Cox, and a sister, Brenda Harsh.

Survivors include: his wife, Lorenda Jones Cox of Murfreesboro; three daughters, Nakita Cox of Benton, Brittney Humphry of Murfreesboro, and Genia Lowery of Pike City; siblings, Conrad Cox and wife, Eva, of Nathan, Ronnie Cox and wife, Susan, of Delight, Ricky Cox and wife, Wanda of Nashville, Kim Dixon and Paul Smith of Pike City, Tony Cox and wife, Missy, of Murfreesboro, and Jimmy Cox of Pike City; also, grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church in Murfreesboro with Rob Evans officiating. Burial followed in Pike City Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Visitation was Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
