Farmers and ranchers who use restricted use pesticides in their production must be licensed by the State Plant Board. To become licensed, agriculture producers must attend training conducted by the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. This training must be completed every five years.
Two training meetings will be held in Pike County. The trainings will be conducted on Monday, February 22.
The first meeting will be at 2 p.m., and held at the Fairgrounds, in Glenwood.
The second meeting will be at 6 p.m., and held at the Pike County Extension Office, located at 100 Court Street, in Murfreesboro.
A $10 registration fee will be charged for the training. A check for this fee will need to be made to the Pike County Cooperative Extension Service.
No pre-registration is needed. If you have questions, call Terrell Davis, County Extension Agent Staff Chair, at the County Extension Office in Murfreesboro at 285-2161 or e-mail at tadavis@uaex.edu.
