Frances McGeeFrances Cowling McGee, 94, of Richmond, Texas passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Fort Bend Healthcare Center in Rosenberg, Texas. She was born on April 23, 1921 in Arkansas to Egbert and Fanny Cowling. She married Willie Earl McGee on April 6, 1944. Frances retired from Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital in Richmond, where she worked as a nurse for 22 years. Frances enjoyed her cats, feeding the birds, watching the squirrels, and visiting with her family and friends. Her hobbies included crocheting and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Earl,:her son, Frank McGee and her son, Charles McGee. Survivors include her children, Francis McGee, daughter-in-law, Caye McGee, daughter-in-law, Debbie McGee, Willie McGee and wife Rita, daughter-in-law, Ava McGee, daughter, Fanny Diane Chiles and husband Hal; grandchildren, Candace McGee, Joseph McGee, Andrew McGee and wife, Kim, Jason McGee and wife, Lisa, Megan McGee Robin and husband, Clinton, Trenton McGee and wife, Jackie, Tyra McGee, Sheryl McGee Harnage and husband, Brady, Brandon McGee and wife, Aileen, James Chiles and wife, Kaley, Lency Chiles, and Katherine Chiles; twelve great grandchildren; along with extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2016 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Chaplain R. Kurt Ennis, (Chaplain with Hospice Plus), will be officiating the services.
Pallbearers will include Brandon McGee, Trenton McGee, Joseph McGee, Andrew McGee, George Cantu, and Wyatt Sbrusch. The family of Frances McGee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Hospice Plus and Fort Bend Healthcare Center for their wonderful care and kindness. For those wishing, memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
